At Solidarity, your safety and peace of mind matter to us. That’s why, starting May 1, 2025, we’ll begin using One-Time Passwords (OTP) for certain higher-risk online card transactions. This added layer of protection is part of a cooperative effort with our card processor to ensure your online shopping experience stays simple and secure. When a transaction is flagged as higher risk, you’ll receive a One-Time Passcode via email and text using the contact information we have on file with your card profile. It’s important to keep your contact information up to date to ensure you receive your passcode without delay.
To ensure you receive OTPs when needed, please review and update your information through one of the following methods:
-In Person:
-Secure Message (via Online & Mobile Banking):
-Loan Coupon
-Signed Loan Application
-Paypoint
-Court Documents
-By Mail
Important Note: Each individual must update their own address unless the request is for a restricted account or the member has Power of Attorney.
Why is Solidarity adding One-Time Passcodes (OTPs) to some online transactions?
Research shows that OTPs significantly reduce fraud and improve the member experience. Without OTP, high-risk transactions are often declined. With OTP, members can securely verify their identity and complete the transaction directly on the merchant’s site or app.
What happens without OTP?
What are the benefits of OTP at Solidarity?
Can members opt out?
No. Because OTP is a required security measure, opting out is not available.
We appreciate your continued trust in Solidarity. Our goal is always to provide you with the tools and support you need to manage your finances confidently and securely. If you have any questions or need help updating your information, our team is here and happy to help.
Thank you for being a valued part of the Solidarity family—we’re always looking out for you
