The Solidarity Kids Crew is a fun, simple way to introduce children to saving, spending and making smart choices with money.
Whether they’re saving birthday money, putting away a few dollars from chores or working toward something special, Kids Crew gives children a place to start building healthy financial habits — with a parent or guardian helping along the way.
Learning how to manage money doesn’t have to wait until adulthood. A Kids Crew account can help children begin understanding important financial lessons while their money and their goals are still small.
Kids Crew can help children:
Parents don’t have to turn every trip to the credit union into a financial literacy lesson.
Sometimes the best learning happens naturally.
Depositing birthday money, talking about what your child is saving for or watching them reach their first savings goal can create simple conversations about money that make a lasting impact.
The goal isn’t for kids to know everything about money.
It’s to help them start.
Kids Crew is designed to give younger members a foundation they can continue building on as they grow.
Today it may be saving for a new toy, a bike or something special.
Later, those same lessons can help them understand checking accounts, debit cards, budgeting, borrowing and preparing for their financial future.
Starting early gives children more time to learn — and gives parents more opportunities to help them practice.
Every deposit represents more than money in an account. It’s a chance for your child to experience setting a goal, sticking with it and seeing their progress.
Those little wins can turn into lifelong habit
